About This Project

Game design for the project of CONACyT – TAMU: Persuasive health games

My contribution to the project was the design of the video game used to the test. The goal was to develop a video game to help to low the stress level in the players. Before to start with the design, I researched about different aspects that were related to the design and how these may affect the player performance. Some of the aspects I researched were the relation between colors and their influence on people and also the distribution of the objects into a game.

In the article, The Manchester Color Wheel: development of a novel way of identifying color choice and its validation in healthy, anxious and depressed individuals, is explained a method of assessing color choice in relation to a variety  of clinical situations. The Manchester Color Wheel had three different color  collections: positive colors, negative colors and neutral colors, and eight different  permutations. In the paper, it was explained the different experiments with the eight  permutations and their results. In my design, I used two different permutations to color the game and to influence into the player.
